Had cervical in 2005 and lumbar in 2006. By Dr De Moura . Had cervical spine x ray and mri this July and screws are backed out especially at c7  and now the narrowing above and below are severe .So I  called the office to ask if they backed out would it hurt me ? I was told he doesn’t accept insurance only workman’s comp and no fault. I’ve called at least 20 spine surgeons and no one will even give me an appointment or want to charge me 350-700. I’m very disappointed . I thought he or an associate would have at least answered my question . I don’t understand why I couldn’t be seen since he was the surgeon who did both operations. Or at least refer another Dr who could help me . 

I meet Dr Demoura 22 years ago and I am still a very happy ?? and pleased with everything that he has done for me ?? he has truly helped me when no other doctor could do so.Dr Demoura performed multiple surgeries on me and explained each and every one and also how long l would be in the hospital he has always put my health first and how l would be doing after the surgery.When l first meet Dr Demoura I was 33 years old and a nurses aide l didn't understand how truly my injury was to my lower back but when he explained to me that I would need surgery l cried because now you have to put your trust in a doctor that you just met especially with your back, but after talking to him and he reassured me and explain everything that he would be doing l put my trust into him and my life and he has never let me down and he has then introduced me to so many wonderful doctor's like himself and one of them was Dr  Peter Passias another wonderful execellent doctor who also done surgeries with Dr Demoura and other doctors. Honestly I would have never expected to have been a patient with a wonderful doctor for these many years 33 and now I am 57 years old.L honestly would have never had expected that getting injured with my back would lead me to so many surgeries years later but I am truly blessed to have meet Dr Demoura because he has helped me and I can't express how grateful and happy to still be a patient of his.Thank you so very very much for the love and support and guidance that you have shown me your patient Regina Connor.


I was recommended to Dr. de Moura by other patients who were extremely happy with their treatment.  I felt more at ease after my appointment and understood more about my injuries and treatment options.  I would definitely recommend Dr. de Moura. 

I found Dr De Moura to be very honest and forthright.  I was not rushed or hurried in any way.  He explained things thoroughly.   He was kind and knowledgeable.   He made me feel very comfortable, despite his diagnosis?  I wound have him do surgery on me anytime!
Feeling comfortable and confident with respect to any surgery, let alone, spinal surgery, is critically important to me!!

Dr. De Moura did my neck surgery and the experience and recovery has been great.  This doctor remained professional taking the time to answer my million and one questions. What I loved the most is that after the surgery the doctor just doesn't push you off to his PA's, he takes the time to meet and examine you during each post opt and he personally checks all notations from his staff to make sure the information is correct.

nothing but good things to say about dr. De moura im 3weeks post op everything was as he said it would be from the manageable neck pain from surgery even when i started to panic he responded right back to my text gave me a call reassured me i was fine its been 3 weeks pains gone on the road to recovery this is the 1st time ive went this long in a long while with out feeling like i need to have my neck adjusted so i know for sure im doing better than before surgery...will compare him to the doc we had as kids that sent us home smiling with a lollipop. I had surgery yesterday August 18, 2020 and the doctors, nurse staff were kind, welcoming, warm, and made me feel comfortable. I was fussed over and constantly checked on and made extremely comfortable. The staff was superb.  The nurses practice cleaning protocols and assured my safety as well as their own while being perfect care providers. I highly recommend Dr. de Moura and his beautiful professional staff.

Great Dr. I have nothing but good things to say about my surgery experience. I would highly recommend Dr. De Moura.

Incompetent, arrogant, refuse to answer questions. I had to shut my mouth and believe everything he had to say.
Worst of all Dr DeMoura make me go to his Long Island office to have an Mri when the same Mri I could have it done 10 minutes away from my home, but since the Mri facility in Long Island belongs to him, he just wanted to make money instead of finding a solution to my problem.

Dr. de Moura performs miracles! Monuments need to erected in his honor.  The whole process from booking the surgery to being released from the hospital was so smooth and effortless. I am now 3 weeks post-op and getting better every day, no more numbness and tingling shooting down my legs, no more crippling back pains (if you saw me at the store you wouldn’t even know I just had major spine surgery 3 weeks ago!). Dr. de Moura has the hands of an angel, they are made to heal!

This doctor was great. Very friendly and knew what he was doing. I greatly recommend him.

Very impressed. From start to finish. From the intake medical professional to the doctor. A class. Highly recommend.
