Dr. Amy Tyberg

I would never recommend this doctor.  After my 91 year old mom's surgery, Dr. Tyberg never came out to discuss her condition and she sent her home.  Unfortunately, after being home for an hour my mom was in excruciating pain and had to return to the hospital via the rescue squad.  My mom never recovered and passed away in two weeks.  Dr. Tyberg should have discussed her condition with me prior to her release.

Please do not see this woman. My husband has been under her care for months now due to chronic pancreatitis and a large stone in his pancreas. He has lost over 100 pounds in just a matter of months and she has done nothing to help him. She has done the same procedure over four times now and not once did it help him so I don’t know why she continues to do it, she never did any further bloodwork or anything and we just found out that he has an A1c of over 13 and his glucose was over 500 because his pancreas is not working properly. We found this out through my husband’s primary care physician because she actually listened to my husband and did bloodwork unlike Dr. Tieberg , she is completely incompetent and she almost cost my husband his life. My husband reached out to the office to inform them of his A-1 C and glucose levels, and to ask them what the next steps will be considering his pancreas is clearly not working, their response was “sorry to hear about that, you should probably follow up with a primary care physician about your A1c”
WHAT ABOUT HIS PANCREAS!? They’re his doctor for that!!

Please do not see this doctor, you will never talk to her face-to-face, she will never take the time to actually listen to you and she does not do the proper tests that should be done. She should be ashamed of herself!

I called Dr. Tyberg's office three times to ask a simple question to determine if I would be able to have the TIF procedure since I had a gastric sleeve ten years ago.  I never got any reply and on the third and last call was told that there was no way to forward my question to her.  Why would  I want an appointment if its not even possible to perform TIF on a gastric sleeve patient.  :-( 

I saw Dr tyberg with long term severe gastro problems that included nausea, belching, bloating, and vomiting (daily and for the past 3 ½ years!). The symptoms began a year after gastric sleeve surgery. 
After just 2 visits Dr Tyberg just dropped me without a resolution and without even speaking to me directly (she had an assistant call me).

I am so disappointed. I made it very clear to Dr Tyberg that I was desperate, suffering, & had been searching for relief for quite some time. She assured me she would do her best to help me. She did the absolute minim.

Dr Tyberg ordered a colonoscopy (which returned normal results) and prescribed a medication (but I was already taking it — she did not check).

Once the colonoscopy results came back normal she recommended i address my long-term, severe gastritis issues with diaphragm exercises (which I had alread tried) and/or surgery - a revision of my weightloss surgery! She left me with the option of two extremes and then dropped me!

Dr. Tyberg nicked my aunt’s pancreas, causing severe pancreatitis, then quit the practice. She never checked up on her or showed any concern. I am writing this for my aunt because her pancreas began hemorrhaging and she’s no longer with us. 

She is remarkable in every sense - smart, articulate, an expert in her field.
