Dr. Varthi is a phenomenal surgeon.  He is not only highly skilled but personable and compassionate.   Everything was well explained, and the entire experience exceeded my expectations. 

Dr Varthi listened to my issues and gave me options. I had surgery on 11/4/21 and was discharged on 11/9. Everyone one of Dr Varthi's staff that I Interfaced with pre, during and post surgery were awesome. Their concern for my comfort and progress were extraordinary. They kept me informed throughout the ordeal. My Hospital experience was wonderful. Dr. Varthi saw me every day and also members of the surgical team and staff. I have seen him since the surgery in follow up visits and he is always concerned about my wellfare. I would recommend to anyone having Spinal issues to request a visit to Dr. Varthi. I feel like a different person, able to do things again physically that for five years was just a memory.

I was in complete agony with a badly herniated disc from my job as a nurse. Dr. Varthi was wonderful and explained all of the options, including providing a complete picture of the risks and benefits of surgery. He was kind and accessible. He performed a 4 hour surgery on my back and the pain relief I felt was amazing. He did a wonderful job and I had no complications at all. The nurses on the surgical floor were also great. He has a great team and is a wonderful surgeon. I highly recommend him. He takes his time, is very personable and honest, presents all of the options, and is a great surgeon. He has been wonderful to have as a physician.

I saw Dr. Varthi for a second opinion. 

I had been having back pain for several years. The first surgeon I saw barely listened to what I had to say. I decided to see Dr. Varthi on the recommendation of my primary care doc, who mentioned that Dr. Varthi is well known for his incredible surgical skills but also his holistic approach to patients. 

Dr. Varthi took the time to understand my pain. He has a relaxed and compassionate bed side manner. After we discussed, he and I decided that I not get surgery immediately but rather try conservative treatments first. I actually ended up getting operated on by Dr Varthi and my pain is completely gone. He and his staff were so responsive before and after the surgery. I felt truly cared for. 

I highly recommend speaking to Dr. Varthi. He is a surgeon who actually listens and tries to find the best treatment for you.

He is the best spine surgeon in the world. I cannot recommend him enough. 

My 88 y.o. dad w/severe spinal nerve compression & has been a chronic pain patient for 20yrs.  He was very active & up until the age of 87 was building houses for habitat for humanity.  We looked for a surgeon for many years but no-one would touch him & the pain had gotten to the point where he could hardly stand.  We found Dr. Varthi and he is amazing.  He spent a lot of time going over the risks vs. rewards of doing a surgery on someone this old & with many health issues - he had no quality of life so we moved forward with the surgery.  THIS was during covid so I had to drop my dad off & pick him up in a week or so when they said he was ready to go home.  I was petrified - BUT the communication from Dr. Varthis was stellar which in my experience is very unusual for a surgeon.  Dr. Varthi is caring, compassionate, skilled and honest.  I wish we found him 20 years ago!

Dr. Varthi was on spine call when I sustained a thoracic fracture that could have paralyzed me. He took excellent care of me and spent time explaining my options. He saw me during nights and weekends and performed a thoracic fusion that was performed with excellently. I can now walk again and am back home. His staff are also excellent.

Dr varthi is a very down to earth. He is very professional and he took the time to explain my condition and answer all the questions I had. All of his staff are great too would highly recommend him!!!

Dr Varthi is a great surgeon.  He takes the time to talk to you and gets good results.  

Dr Varthi took the time to listen to all my concerns and asked a lot of questions. I'm definitely happy with the level of care.

Arya takes the time to listen and understand your issue.  He takes a practical approach to treatment.  He is a very good surgeon.
