Dr. Brittany Murphy

Dr Murphy has been my surgeon for two procedures. My outcomes were outstanding.  

Dr Murphy immediately put me at ease by  assuring me that within a few weeks I would be feeling great.  She was right.  That aside, if it was more complicated than anticipated she assured me it would be taken care of.  MD Anderson is a wonderful facility. She made me feel I came to the right place. Her PA recently did a breast exam, I never had such a thorough exam.  I hope I never have to, but she would be my first choice breast surgeon.

Dr. Murphy went above and beyond with care and compassion during my treatment. I will forever hold her in high regard and would refer her to anyone I know. 

I had breast surgery with Dr. Murphy and I have been following up with her every 6 months!  She is one in a million the kindest down to earth physician that I’ve ever known!  She gave me stats on my condition and tons of information to read prior to my surgery.  I wouldn’t go to anyone else but her, she’s an amazing doctor and I consider her my friend!! Dr. Murphy is the kindest and most caring physician that I have ever had the pleasure of meeting.  I haven't had my surgery yet, but through my chemotherapy she had called to check on me on multiple occasions and truly provides a level of care I have never seen.  Keep up the great work, your mother would be proud of you!

I met with Dr. Murphy recently because my previous surgeon is no longer with MD Anderson.  She was personable and appeared to be very knowledgeable.  Also, her empathy for patients was evident in her demeanor and I feel lucky to have found her.

After almost a year of horrible experiences with oncologists and surgeons while dealing with my breast cancer, I finally had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Murphy. She is the most communicative, compassionate, and competent doctor I’ve ever encountered. And, above all, she presents her expertise and recommendation, then lets me make decisions about my care. I am not one to exaggerate; she is truly wonderful.

Dr. Murphy is one in a million!  She is outstanding, compassionate and so friendly!  She and her staff are amazing and go above and beyond.  I tell everyone she is the go-to! 

Recently had bi-lateral mastectomies.  I was referred to Dr. Murphy by my PCP who is also a chemo-therapist for this surgery.  Felt like a guardian angel was helping me through the entire process.  Her manner and skill are top notch and she and her team treated me like I was their only patient.  It was remarkable and I feel very blessed.  All questions were answered.  Never felt rushed or ignored.  Calm demeanor, cheerful and loving.  Thank you all.

My first appointment with Dr. Murphy was after receiving a breast cancer diagnosis in 2021. She clearly explained the nature of the diagnosis and the surgical options. In addition, her demeanor was personable as well as highly professional and this helped defuse my high level of anxiety.
I chose Dr. Murphy to perform my surgery and I unequivocally can say I made the very best choice. All margins came back clean (no need for a follow up surgery). During my recovery phase Dr. Murphy was fully responsive to my questions and concerns, as was her team.
Many months post surgery, when being examined by other physicians and nurses for other aspects of my treatment, many have exclaimed at how amazing my surgical site looks. They, too, were impressed with Dr. Murphy's skill.

At the age of 88, in the middle of the pandemic,  I was very concerned about having breast cancer surgery. Dr. Murphy treated me with caring, patience and understanding without delay.  She took time to answer my questions and explain the details of my surgery to help me make my decisions.  Following surgery, she called my designated friend to explain the details of my surgery and outcome.  Despite the concerns I felt initially, the surgery went smoothly and I could not have been treated better during recovery.  I would recommend Dr. Murphy to anyone without hesitation.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Murphy. She is the most compassionate doctor I have seen. She gave me her cell phone to call day or night, and she always answered when I called. One time at night she recommended going to the ER and called to be sure I made it and discussed my situation with the ER doctor. She performed a mastectomy and treated a hematoma. I would highly recommend Dr. Murphy for any breast surgery, and her PA, Nicole, is the best!

Dr. Murphy is one of a kind!  She is an excellent surgeon and is kind, compassionate and listens so well.  She treats the whole patient and is attentive to all your concerns.  Dr. Murphy goes above and beyond not only as a surgeon but as person as well.  I highly recommend her. 

Dr Murphy is knowledgeable, talented, great communicator and experienced surgeon. She also is very attentive and a wonderful listener.

Dr. Brittany Murphy is very courteous and professional. She listen to the patient and gives them a voice in their treatment. I would highly recommend Dr. Murphy to all my family and friends. I am proud that she was my Doctor, she gave me my options and gave me her opinion and then she listen to what I wanted done. I can not tell you how she made me feel so at ease with all that was going on with me. She had everything under control and that's all I had to do was show up to the appointment and this took a load off my mine and she had the best team for me. Cancer is not fun but with Dr. Murphy you will not be alone to fight that battle, she will be there to help where ever she can. She is one Doctor that I trust and value also all the of the other Doctor she recommended to me.

I honestly cannot say enough about this woman! I get a little choked up thinking about my experience, because she and her PA Nicole Oppenheimer made my challenging year infinitely more manageable. I'm 32 and found out a year ago about my BRCA1 diagnosis. I met with Dr. Murphy for a preventative mastectomy consultation and pretty quickly committed to the surgery after some abnormal biopsies. I had a million anxious questions, and she answered them all without judgment. She was so approachable and available, and without her I'm not sure I'd have the peace I did going in to surgery. She is extremely kind, understanding, and patient, with a great bedside manner. She followed up with me several times post-op and made herself available to me in the future if needed. The surgery went really well, and she did a beautiful job on the incisions. Dr. Murphy is a skilled surgeon and a lovely human being. I am really thankful she was my breast surgeon and I would highly, highly recommend her.

Dr Murphy is a amazing, caring physician. From my first appointment, I knew she the one to care for me during my possible breast cancer journey. After my surgery she personally called me to see how I was doing and with the lab results. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Dr. Murphy is an incredible surgeon. She explains everything and makes sure you fully understand. She really treats her patients like her family. Her staff at her Del Webb office is top notch as well! I felt very well cared for throughout my treatment. 

As a physician, I have worked with many surgeons during the course of my career and I can honestly say that Brittany Murphy is in the top tier.  Not only is she kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and incredibly skilled, but she is also attentive, respectful, and available.
