Dr. Dianne Haynes, MD

Dr. Haynes is "hands-down", the BEST GYN I have ever had. (I was 51 when I saw her the first time) I never felt rushed, all of my questions were answered thoroughly and if I forgot anything and called, she ALWAYS called back timely. I wish I would have met her before I had given birth. She made sure that as I was preparing for surgery, that I knew the recovery and possible obstacles so that I was confident in what to expect. Some people may want a more bubbly personality, but I loved that she was friendly and personable but very professional. She is so knowledgeable, caring and amazing. You will be in great hands with Dr. Haynes!!

Dr. Haynes is the most caring, knowledgeable, and instructive of all the doctors I have gone to in my life.  She made me feel totally at ease during my checkups and follow-ups.  She diagnosed an issue that previous gynecologists had not properly addressed.  She phoned me once or twice to give me additional helpful information, and I really appreciated it.  I have recommended her to my friends and family.  The staff is also wonderful at Upper Chesapeake for not keeping me waiting for my appointments.  

Dr Haynes has been my doctor for a couple of years and I have to say she has been wonderful. She always takes the time to answer my questions thoroughly and I am never rushed. I feel she has my best interest at heart and truly cares about the wellbeing of her patients. I wouldn’t see anyone else. 

I, personally, love Dr. Haynes. She is very straightforward and explains things in a no nonsense manner.  For me, this is amazing. She puts my fears at ease as she explains things in a way I understand.  She is not upbeat and bubbly - if you need that (and some do) then she may not be the best fit for you.  For me, she is the best!

Overall, the experience at Dr. Haynes’ office was insensitive, including coming from the doctor’s assistant.  The doctor’s assistant kept reaching toward my pelvic region during the appointment.  While she did not touch me physically, it was still inappropriate as it was very close.  At one point, I had to shoo her away.  Of all the doctors’ visits I have had at other offices, I have never had an assistant approach my pelvic region.  They always stood back, took notes, and handed the doctor medical equipment.  Only the doctor is supposed to be near that area.  Discussions in reviewing the patient history were insensitive.  When I asked for a standard test for STDs, I was met with raised eyebrows, which is not what I would expect from medical professionals.  Yes, I am a woman in my 40s, and I still date.  I was not happy with the overall experience, and I will not return.

Completely disinterested in the patient as a person. Does not ask pertinent questions and does not know how to read previous medical records. I had to TELL her what was in my report and practically force her to ask basic background questions. She then over-compensated by scheduling me for an unnecessary procedure. (All of this verified by a second opinion with another, more competent doctor). I completely regret going to see her. Save yourself the trouble. The two stars are for her staff, and the fact that she will define things for you.

Dr. Haynes is absolutely wonderful.  She is very thorough, compassionate, and has her patient's best interest at heart. She is a true master of her craft and her. She is the best of the best. I am grateful that I looked to her to her for my surgery and happy to report I am doing very well. Thank you Dr. Haynes....

The front office lady was wonderful and the nurse was so kind, empathetic and patient. However Dr. Haynes was very cold, acted like she had no time for me or my questions as a new patient and first time to a GYN. She lacked in personal skills and empathy. Basically told me to lose weight and get my blood pressure down. My pressure was up as I was nervous, scared and they only took it one time. I am so upset, I WILL NEVER return to this practice again. Very disappointed.

Pros: 1. her nurse (assitant?) is empathetic and kind and wonderful. 2. She does like to explain things.

Cons: No personality. Completely lacking in empathy or personal skills. Performs unnecessary procedures. Offers no guidance or advice. 

Overall a bad experience - will never return.

I don't understand the good reviews.  She has no personality, is very dismissive, and honestly sounded like she's couldn't care less the whole appointment. I had to be very assertive to actually get her to ok at my records, our several things would have been missed. She offered no recommendations - just stared at me and  asked what I wanted to do. The options ranged from "ignore it" to major surgery.  Most people come to a doctor for their expertise, not t be left to their own devices . Would not recommend.
