Dr. Fereydoon Radfar

My experience with Dr. Radfar has been very positive. I first met him in an out-patient program at the local hospital.  He is a very knowledgeable physician who strives to address the issues of concern. As a patient, I find Dr. Radfar to be caring and very professional in his approach to patient care.   

Dr Radfar changed two medications at one time resulting in an emergency room visit for adverse reaction and then discharged me for failure to pay bill when his stupid mistake cost me thousands and threatened my life

Dr Radfar is the best Psychiatrist that I have seen. He diagnosed me quickly and correctly. He always has the time to listen and the office staff is great. I was seeing a previous doctor close to my home but I switched to Dr Radfar after seeing him in St Clair hospital partial program.  Worth the extra drive time to see Dr Radfar.

I have been a patient at SMCA for several years and I have been an addict for what seems like my entire life. In addition I have major depression disorder. I have spent many years existing in a very dark world. Today, I live in the light and Dr. Radfar has helped make that possible.  Dr. Radfar made certain that I adhered to a recovery program. I needed a doctor that could be in control of the appointment without making me feel useless and ashamed. The Office staff are efficient & caring. 

I came to Dr. Radfar two years ago with severe anxiety. He was knowledgeable and caring. He changed my medication and I've been fine ever since.
He also spends a lot of time talking with and listening to patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Radfar for over 20 years for depression. He has always been professional and easy to talk with. I see him about every three months, which I look forward to, as I enjoy talking with him. The medication that he has prescribed has worked out fine. I highly recommend Dr. Radfar. 

Doctor Radfar is an great listener.  This is an extremely important attribute for physicians in this field.  He is very intelligent and brings years of experience to the table.  He is very conservative and knowledgable in the prescription of drugs some of which may be addictive and dangerous if abused.  He knows that taking drugs is an two edged sword.  The office environment is pleasant and relaxing.

Dr Radfar is highly skilled.  He is genuinely concerned with my problems and health issues.  He approaches them in an intelligent and capable manor.  I am convinced that he is dedicated to relieving my pain and suffering

I met Dr. Radfar during a stay at St Claire Hospital and consider myself most fortunate. Dr. R is old school. He asked me questions rather than handing me a list of question to make his diagnosis and develop a course of treatment. In my case Dr, R's diagnosis was spot on and after a minor medication tweak he got my condition turned and go me headed back to where I needed to be. 

Thank you Dr R for your help and quite possibly saving my life.

Dr. Radfar is extremely smart and helpful.   He will tell you what you need to hear vs. what you want to hear.  I've been going to him for over a decade.

Always good suggestions spends a lot of time

I had to deal with the death of my parents 25 days apart and the stress of working for TSA. Dr Radfar was easy to talk too, was able to diagnose me and get me on the right medication.
He also referred me to two great therapists

Dr Radfar is very caring.  We have never had a time where we have called with an issue about my mother that he has not returned the call, and had us come in within a few days.  He is very attentive to her needs, and takes time with her.  He also is very receptive to talking with the family and addressing our concerns.

I sought help for anxieties I had been having while driving on highways. Dr. Radfar gave me strategies to help me to cope with them. I could simply have avoided the highway altogether, but the problem would have remained.  He helped me to realize that what I had considered to be an irrational fear beyond my control was in actuality a valid concern that I could overcome with practice. This treatment took some time, since I don’t do much highway driving.  Dr. Radfar was patient and understanding, always willing to listen.

After going through several doctors both near and far, Dr. Radfar was the one able to accommodate both my needs and was able to finally figure out the best medication to take. 

The appointments are always both insightful and helpful, and Dr.Radfar always checks if I understand the nature of my condition and about my medication when it changes. 

I would recommend Dr. Radfar for how well he was able to explain different options to me and work with me to find what option was best for me.

Dr Radfar is kind and compassionate.  He gave a thorough evaluation and has been helping make adjustments to better my life.  He can take a problem and explain it in a way that I can understand the change I need to make.  Its all been a positive experience for me.  

Dr. Radfar is compassionate, professional and wise. He saved me after eight years of psychiatric hell.

Dr. Radfar has changed my life. I have had a dark journey due to neglecting self care & not prioritizing my mental health.
 I have been to many different doctors on my road to recovery, however Dr. Radfar stands out as someone who works for a greater purpose and for God. He will put the patient’s wellbeing first. He does not charge as much as he could for a visit. Dr. Radfar is truly angels on earth, and I confidently believe he restores mental, spiritual and physical health. 

I have been seeing Dr Radfar for over 15 years for anxiety.  It did not take long to find the treatment that worked for me & have been on maintenance for the last several years since I have been doing well, He is a very caring doctor who really listens & takes into  sccount what the patient is telling him to come up with an appropriate treatment plan.
