Dr. Gary Harter, MD

Very brusque. No regard for the patient's anxiety. A surgery mill -- many more arthroplasties, than the average orthopedic surgeon. Now I must live wondering if my surgery was done to medical standards.

My appointment with Dr.Harter and staff was wonderful! ( I don't understand a poor review from 2019 below). His bedside manner was empathetic, kind and informative. His staff helped me get a walker and leg compression treatment to my vehicle.  He answered my questions. He only recommended surgery on my bad knee and gave me a shot in my other knee which he said doesn't need surgery. He sent me to X-ray 2different times to have a clear idea of my condition. I knew before I got there I needed knee replacement. He was so informative and thoughtful I am getting surgery done by Dr. Harter. I also trust my GP of 12 yrs.who referred me to Dr. Harter to begin with.

Could not have asked for a better experience with this surgeon. He was thorough, explained the procedure in great detail, and showed general concern for my pre and post op care. I would highly recommend Dr. Harter for shoulder or knee repair surgery.   

Showed little regard for my medical history. Has the personality of a flea. Had post op issues, that were ignored. 

Quack! This guy is rude and sadistic. Told me I had a torn rotater cuff,  performed the operation. Never got my shoulder back so I went to another ortho doc and he told me I had frozen shoulder and he would not have operated. Why I call him a sadist? The visit after the operation he grabbed my arm and forced it as high as it would go. The pain was excruciating.  Didn't like his pa Mat either. Rude pompous ass.
