Both pre- and post-op office visits were professional. Dr. Hale spent as much time as I needed to discuss the procedures, no rush. Tried epidural shots for 6 years with him, as he is conservative with surgery. Sat together with me to review X-rays and his proposed and completed work. I’m two weeks post op with lower fusion and laminectomy, walking my dog, bending, standing straight up, very little pain if any. Went back to my office work after one week rest. Back to swimming laps in three weeks and skiing in three months. Very little wait time in his office. I’m pain free and no drugs or Advils. 

I’ve been a patient of Dr Hale’s for many years.In the past I’ve had many spinal epidurals,some have helped.Today I had a Cervical epidural&as always I was very nervous about the whole epidural experience.Dr Hale,as always,but more so today,was SO kind&patient with me.He more than put me at ease,he GENUINELY cared&I could FEEL his concern about how I was feeling.That means a lot to me as a patient,we all want a competent but caring&compassionate physician.With Dr Hale you get an extraordinary doctor&human being.God bless him.

Dr. hale performed the surgery on my back. He put rods in my back and removed bad discs. I had major back problems for many years. After being shot up in the back for all of those years, the shots were temporary relief. After the surgery and physical therapy, I can honestly say that the pain is gone. Dr Hale is an amazing Doctor. I would recommend him highly.

Like another reviewer said, he explained my options for back surgery with 3-D images, discussed the various risk factors, and i never felt  pressured.  And he called me right back. 

I went to Dr Hale in 2016 after a sports injury left me with 60% strength in my left arm that went numb.  My pain level was off the charts and like was unbearable. 

Dr Hale’s team was able to get me into surgery in a very short timeline.  The surgery went quickly and without complication.  My strength returned in days, i was able to exercise like normal in 1-2months and feeling came back to my hand in 2-3months.

From the first visit with Dr Hale and Dr liu I felt very comfortable. They explained everything in detail and answer any questions. Dr Hale recently did surgery . I recommend him to anybody that needs back surgery. Excellent doctor great bedside manner. Excellent group of doctors!!!!

My results were exceptional so it is easy for me to praise Dr Hale as an awesome surgeon.  In addition, and very important to me, Dr Hale also calls back 100% of the time and then is not trying to rush you off the phone because he cares about you.

Dr. Hale is extremely professional and explains everything with details and easy to understand. His bedside manner is excellent. His PA, Peter is amazingly competent. I am so blessed to have found such a great doctor during a time that was very painful for me. They have gone above and beyond what was needed for my care and I am eternally grateful. When I met Dr. Hale, it was the first time I felt like I wasn't alone in my fight against back pain. I could sense that it truly bothered him that I was experiencing pain. He assured me that he would do everything in his power to get me back to my old self, I believed him and he followed through. I can't say enough about him, thank you Dr. Hale!

Office Staff made a HUGE mistake.  Had an appointment in May cancelled for a medical emergency and then the reschedule with the wrong physician!  Mind you the other physician was great but I wanted to see an expert and I got a physicians assistant who is great but still not the expert I wanted to see.



Words cannot express my gratitude for what this amazing surgeon has done for me. I suffered for 4 years before I finally found him. I could barely walk or use my right arm in any way. He saw and fixed what many others missed. Prompt, fast and easy with all procedures. Nobody compares to him and Dr. Lui! And the entire staff!

Dr. Hale was extremely thoughtful with how he helped with a severely extruded L4/L5 disc.  He spent considerable time reviewing the images, educating us on the anatomy and answering our innumerable questions. We was empathetic, confident and as other have said - we never felt rushed or pressured into any treatment. He provided his recommended approach and suggested that we seek a second opinion so that we felt confident in next steps.   

On the day of the procedure, Dr. Hale was again conscious

Dr. Hale is the best doctor I have ever had. I was in extreme pain for 3 years and could hardly walk and three other doctors misdiagnosed me. I had a fusion approximately 3 months ago and I feel great. I recommend Dr. Hale to any patient that has any kind of back trouble.

THIS MAN SAVED MY LIFE. I COULD NOT WALK BEFORE I WENT TO HIM. HE FUSED MY BACK. I HAVE NEVER BEEN BETTER


Dr. Hale has both improved my husband and I quality of life especially with our spinal pain.  His expertise as an orthopedic surgeon is phenominal and his bedside manner is outstanding.  His suture line is like that of a plastic surgeon and when you view the post op x-rays every vertebrae is lined up perfectly and your spine looks like it did before it was injured. My husband and I recommend him highly as he uses conservative treatment until the pain we both couldn't tolerate any longer and asked him if we could have the surgery.  He is a real gem in the orthopedic surgery world of physicians.  He has a talent for the surgery he does and the vast knowledge to perform it. We can't thank him enough for what he has done for the both of us!
