Dr. Jennifer Butt, MD

One of my worst experiences with a medical professional to date.  Dr. Butt's lack of attention and concern for me as a patient was remarkable.  First, she completely dismissed any questions I had about my fertility.  Even if this is not her specialty, she was completely unhelpful in referring me to someone who could assist with my questions and concerns.  Second, as my referring physician for my yearly breast exam (mammogram and ultrasound), she failed to inform me about a problem with my results.  I found out via a letter in the mail, days after her office had been informed.  After I went for a follow up screening which was thankfully okay, her office called me with the initial results to alert me of a problem.  At no point during this whole fiasco did I ever speak with Dr. Butt.  Not only was her failure to contact me uncaring, it was unprofessional.

She’s literally the best doctor I ever had. She has delivered my baby and I will be continuing to go even if my insurance has changed, she works with you even out of network and does her best make sure you are comfortable. she is trust worthy excellent doctor who cares, smart and kindest. I’m lucky to have found her as my OB/GYN.

I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate Dr. Butt - she’s the best. She has been my OB/GYN for four years and delivered both of my children. Despite the fact that I live nowhere near her practice anymore, I would not think of seeing another OB/GYN. And I’m not the only one who holds her in such high-esteem: all of the other doctors at Lenox Hill rave about her. My husband refers to her as “part of the family.” She’s simply a wonderful doctor.

Do not believe in the positive reviews on this doctor! RUN AWAY from this one! She does not like patients who ask questions and will humiliate you. Has ZERO bedside manners. Lacks empathy and competence. Will take your money and show zero interest in what YOU WANT. By FAR the worst experience of my life!!! 

She’s really good at brainwashing. Makes you believe that reason for induction or cesarean it’s actually medically necessary. She does not practice evidence based birth. I felt like I had no option. Does not let you trust your body to birth a healthy child. At the most minimal sign of stuck labor, she wants to do a cesarean. My previous birth with another Doctor wasn’t like that. I was allowed the time necessary to progress. Dr. Butt is way too medical. Stay away if you want to have a vaginal birth.

She’s truly amazing !!!! She has delivered so many babies belonging to family and friends including 3 of my own. 


She never struck me as compassionate or caring about my health at all!
