He is an amazing Dr gives a fair treatment plan that you are comfortable with!

I had been searching for months to find a psychiatrist here. I recently moved from Texas and it’s been hell trying to find a good doctor. For some reason most psychiatrists in Springfield seem to think that despite having a medical history covering 5 years of ADHD that you still need to pay up to get retested (by their doctors on their terms). Not with Dr. Bernardi. He’s honestly the coolest psych I’ve ever met. Not to mention the MOST UNDERSTANDING. I didnt feel like I was drug seeking addict (shoutout to Eustasis for that one). I felt like he really cared and genuinely wanted to get me back on my meds that I had been without for months. I highly recommend 

Absolutely amazing!  Felt very comfortable. I had a medication issue and contacted him on 3 different options.  He was not annoyed a bit and immediately assisted me!

He really saved me today.. I have been trying to get an appointment with a new doctor an i could not be seen for 3 months .I have been out of my medications for 2 months I was able to talk with the Dr. and listen an he understood what i was going threw and he helped me with my meds... He really saved me from having to check in a psychiatric ward in order to get my meds.. Great Doctor very pleasant kind and understanding... would recommend that anyone in a situation or in-between doctors like my self should make a appointment with him .And I was seen the same day too.

Doctor was great when he showed up. Then he missed 2 appointments and I can’t get in touch with him anymore. It’s difficult to manage medication this way.

Doctor Bernardi is all smiles and reassurance, if you're actually able to contact him. Don't expect him to do anything else, though. Doesn't answer email, text, phone. Needed prescription refills and he's nowhere to be found. 
Terrible experience, would not recommend. 

Phone consultation was great even though it was pushed back at the last minute.  Super easy to talk to and understood my problems.  We set up a plan together which included meeting weekly and other personal things.  From there doctor became illusive.  He apologized the first time he was non responsive and said it won’t happen again and he will fix it.  He now as ignored my messages for well over a week.  I have minor issues relatively speaking so it not life or death but I wish he was honest about his time and I would have booked with another doc.  Being busy is ok.  Setting up a treatment plan and then not following through and ignoring after is rude and unprofessional.  Mental health is serious so I wouldn’t recommend him to anyone let alone someone in a potentially harmful lot life or death type mental illness.

Dr. is nice and friendly. Does not accept insurance of any kind. 

If you need a provider that listens and will prescribe you the right medication he is the right doctor to go to!

He is a great doctor, and made me feel safe (this was my first time ever meeting with a psychiatrist). I’d highly recommend him to anyone!!

 He is warm, friendly but more importantly truly focused on giving excellent patient care. Very much looking forward to continuing with Dr. B.

 If you feel like you truly haven’t found someone to hear you  and understand your feelings or concerns Dr. Julio B. is the guy to try.

 Excellent bedside manner and truly a pleasure to talk to- even on video in my car.)

great listener, very nice and accommodating. however, my prescription has to be FedEx delivered to me, instead of me being able to pick it up at the pharmacy. worth the wait, great doctor

Just tried to contact dr for weeks, no answer! Finally after contacting zocdoc he replied to me "your annoying". LOL! I wasnt for sure it was really him because thats so unprofessional.

Initially, Dr. B was helpful but became non responsive and unreliable. Multiple missed appointments without any communication. Wouldn’t recommend if immediate assistant is needed.

Dr B is one of the only psychiatrists I have every worked with that took to the time to listen and have a conversation with me about my needs. I highly recommend

Dr. Bernardi is a true professional. I scheduled an online appointment within two days of finding him and he showed up on time and made the process as quick and easy as possible. He even gave me a discount because of what I needed! If I ever need to see a psychiatrist for anything in the future there is no doubt that Dr. Bernardi will be my first choice. 

Very prompt and professional. It’s hard to find a psychiatrist that actually acknowledges that if someone is reaching out to them they are in need of help. 

I like him! He made me feel like I could open up and be honest, which I always struggle with in these situations. He is a good listener and gave me tangible goals to work on before I see him next month. 

Unfortunately Dr. Berndardi doesn't take insurance right now, otherwise I would 100% book with him again. He is a great listener and in the one session we had was able to give me a much better medication for my sleep than what I had been on for years.

Doctor Bernardi is a great doctor! I had my follow up appointment with him today and it was just as great as the initial visit. In between appointments I was able to talk with him via text message and he was able to send in my prescriptions to the pharmacy because i was in need of refills before our next appointment.  All in all great doctor, great guy, and super easy to get ahold of and work with! In my opinion best psychiatrist in Chicago!

Doctor Bernardi is hands down the best psychiatrist I have seen. When I arrived at his office I checked in and he came out to get me at the exact time my appointment was supposed to start.  He made me feel extremely comfortable while we were in session. He was very knowledgeable about the conditions I came to address and the medications I take for them. He explained that one of the medications I have been taking for years is meant for short term use only and  taking it long term could cause serious health problems down the road which I was extremely grateful for him pointing out. When coming up with a treatment plan he made me feel very involved and actually cared to ask what my thoughts were. He gave me options unlike most other doctors I have seen in the past. He is very easy to talk to and  a very down to earth guy. He makes everything as easy and convenient as possible. If you are looking for a great psychiatrist doctor Bernardi is the guy you are looking for.  My experience with him was stellar from start to finish I can’t say enough good things about him!

I had an excellent appointment with Julio Mocellin Bernardi.  The appointment ran smoothly, and started right on time.  Julio was an active listener throughout my session, and worked to form an individualized treatment plan.  Dr. Bernardi took into account my personal circumstances and accommodated my needs as a patient at all levels, and for that, I'd highly highly recommend him to any Zocdoc viewers!  

Dr. Júlio was very attentive, much more thorough  and insightful than more psychiatrist are trained to be. Very thankful I found him and would recommend to anyone looking for a doctor. 

I think the visit great . Dr. Mocellin asked a little questions that I never thought about asking. He took his time and was very professional and welcoming.
