What a blessing to have been led to Dr. Robbins. I have been seeing Dr. Robbins for quite some time and yet I still look forward to his sessions because of the invaluable guidance he always offers.  He is understanding, kind, a great listener, always offers the most helpful practical advice and truly cares about the well-being of his clients.  I have met with many therapists and none, in my opinion have been as insightful, compassionate, trustworthy, knowledgeable, or experienced as Dr. Robbins.  I cannot thank Dr. Robbins enough for what he has done for me. His faith based support and wise counsel has helped me grow and navigate through all kinds of tough circumstances. When  someone  goes above and beyond to help you, and has had such a positive impact on the quality of your life like Dr. Robbins has had on mine, you want to others to know how outstanding he is. Where should I start?  My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Robbins for counseling for quite some time now.  We talk about anything and everything from extended family, to children and of course most importantly our marriage relationship.  He cares, he listens and he has excellent practical guidance.  Quite literally guidance on handouts for us to practice at home.  The guidance is filled with wisdom from years of counseling after having seen  and heard it all.  It was quite comforting to know that we were not alone in our struggles.  Most importantly, with his guidance we have overcome many challenges, established healthy communication practices and continue to learn ways to improve our relationship. For those who are particularly looking for a faith-based counselor like we were, look no further.  Even if you are not, look no further. When my husband and I came to Dr. Robbins, things were really bad. Just imagine BAD and that was us. My husband and I love each other, but our whole lives seemed to be falling apart and we needed help fast. It was like we were stuck in an extremely dark forest, with tree branches and logs all over. We were trying to drag the other one to the way out. But instead, we were just stumbling, falling over and getting the other one tangled up and hurt in the process. Dr. Robbins comes in with a lantern. He says, “See all those branches? Stop dragging the other person - you’re hurting each other.” Oh! We just couldn’t see… You mean doing that thing that I do all the time is hurting my spouse? I had no idea…. No wonder they’re so mad at me all the time. Oops! And vice versa of course. And he says look, over here is a nice path, this is the way out. And you walk, and you follow the light from the lantern, and you can walk out together, holding hands. Isn’t that just what everyone wants? 

Dr Robbins is a very caring Doctor and so interested in his clients and their needs.  I was so nervous the very first time I went to his office but he made me feel at ease and now I know it was exactly the Dr. I needed.  My sessions with him have given me so many tools to be able to navigate through life and all the problems that come along with it.   I love that he had the ability to continue our appts even through covid through online meetings.    I know my life has changed for the better because of all of our appointments and I appreciate him so much!!     

Dr. Robbins gets it! He relates and gives you good, applicable advice. My fiancé and I went to him for premarital counseling, and it definitely helped our relationship flourish and be the best it could be. We really enjoy his stories and him sharing his experiences that help relate to us, making us realize that we are not alone and what we are experiencing is normal, and even if it wasn’t, he would help us talk through it and understand each other. 

Our family is currently working with Dr. Robbins and we are extremely satisfied with his approach to our situation.  He takes time to understand our needs and has a very calming sense that provides a comfortable environment for us to work within.  I highly recommend his services.

Dr. Robbins has been instrumental in the mental health and well being of my son. With patience, God-given wisdom, and discernment Dr. Robbins has allowed my son to heal, feel happiness again, and get his voice/self back. Dr. Robins is an experienced and knowledgeable Marriage and Family therapist. He has great insights and a pastoral heart. His advices and suggestions were both biblical and practical. Both of us learned a lot from him and benefited greatly from his wisdom and counsel. We highly recommend him to any couples who want to strengthen their marriages.

His fees are very reasonable in comparison to other therapists with great reviews, and he offers virtual sessions which makes scheduling very convenient.

I have known Dr. Peter Robbins for many years and he is an excellent therapist.  While he is a skilled Marriage Family Therapist, he also has experience in counseling patients with other conditions such as Major Depressive Disorder.  Dr. Robbins is very personable, intelligent, and kind.  He often shares his insights and words of wisdom during therapy sessions.  Dr. Robbins will hold therapy sessions with his patients in his office in Fullerton or online via TeleMedicine.  I would highly recommend Dr. Peter Robbins.

Turning Point Counseling provided practical suggestions for our marriage. Dr. Robbins integrated biblical insights and psychological help in his counseling. Dr. Robbins is the emergency room marriage doctor.He was very easy to talk to and he has great insight to helping me understand why certain issues and barriers that where present in my relationship. Dr. Robbins was instrumental in helping my husband and I work through some problems that had developed in our relationship.  We were dealing mostly with a lack of effective communication, and also the toll that our busy schedules with work, kids, activities etc. had taken on our marriage.  He really helped us see things from the other person's point of view, put things into perspective, and gave us great tools to help us communicate more effectively. As he said, your relationship with your spouse is the most important relationship in your life.  It is definitely worth investing in!
