Dr. STAVROS SAVED MY DAUGHTER'S LIFE!  VERY THANKFUL FOR HIS CARE, DEDICATION AND SKILLS!  HE'S THE BEST!!!!

A routine colonoscopy at my local hospital discovered a very large polyp that was too large to be removed at the time of  discovery. After extensive research, I sought out Dr. Stavropoulos at NYU Winthrop  for an Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection (ESD). Five hour procedure, no pain or discomfort at all after procedure. Three nights in hospital for observation because of the lesion size. Between 2 and 3 weeks later, full activity, regular diet. I can't praise him enough.

Dr. Stavropoulos came highly recommended to me by my gastroenterologist. I was told I had a tumor that was difficult and risky to remove. I would need major surgery to have it removed unless Dr. Stavropoulos could try to remove it laparoscopically. My gastroenterologist said "if anyone can do it, it would be Dr. Stavropoulos. He does things with his hands that no other doctor would even attempt to do. He is a miracle worker." I agree 100%. He removed my tumor and I avoided having major surgery.

Had the POEM procedure performed by Dr. Straropoulos in July 2016 to treat achalashia.  Since then able to eat food without getting stuck.  Great doctor and staff.  Truly a lifesaver.

I have heard lot of great things about Dr Stravolpolous.He is very kind and extremely versed.Makes you feel very comfortable when he is explaining your diagnosis and procedures.I come very far to see him and in 2 weeks I am having Bill Roth 2 surgery with him.He travels world seeing patients. I am at ease.

Dr. Stavropoulous saved my dad.  For so long, my father suffered with achalasia.  It went misdiagnosed as acid reflux for years, but he couldn't even swallow the medication the other doctors prescribed.  He lost a significant amount of weight, he was depressed and he was scared.  After a lot of internet research and a social-media miracle, we found the angel, Dr. Stavropoulous who performed the POEM procedure on my dad.  He can eat again.  My family has a peace of mind.  My dad is so happy. Thku

The surgeon, associate doctors and PAs are very good when you have them and their attention face to face.  Other than that it is nearly impossible to get anyone in their office to answer the phone.  Our Pharmacy cannot even get them to answer the phone or reply to a Fax.  You’re between a rock and a hard place with this practice.  The medical team is great...but you’ll never be able to reach them when you need.

Dr Stavropoulos (and his team - Iosif and the others) took great care of me.  No one in the United States has as much experience with POEM.  I traveled from Texas for my POEM procedure.  Two months out and I couldn’t be happier.  Incredible.

And scheduling patients with special needs /considerations
Would never recommend your hospital to friends or family 

(1) nurse educator for the whole hospital
When she finally called and showed up, issues about getting the order for glucose, should it be ordered stat from pharmacy, or us it in the medication room 
But who has access for the adult hypoglycemic kit
