Dr. Mir was absolutely amazing.  My son sustained a deep laceration above his eye and my wife and I felt terrified and powerless.  But from the moment Dr Mir walked into the Emergency Room, we immediately felt better.  He carefully and gently examined my son and made us both feel much better.  He spoke to us as equals, and he reassured us that he could help.    He then efficiently and expertly repaired the laceration with the technical expertise of a gifted surgeon and the grace of an artist.  It has now been six months and his scar is barely visible.  We are so  happy with the results.  I would strongly recommend him to anyone!

I consulted with Dr. Mir at the the suggestion of my general surgeon (Dr. Robert Andrews) about an extremely large and uncomfortably incisional hernia. I had already consulted with numerous doctors, several which did not recommend surgery. The hernia was ungainly and unsightly. Dr. Mir and my general surgeon did the surgery 4 months ago. The recovery took time, but so far the results are nothing less than amazing. I consider myself extremely lucky to have worked with Dr Mir and my other doctor. They are serious, detail oriented , surgeons with a team that was patient and extremely thorough. After having had some terrible experiences with doctors and hospitals, my experience with Dr Mir (and Dr Andrews, both at Lenox Hill) was my best. I obviously highly recommend Dr. Mir. He is a knowledgeable and highly skilled surgeon.

Dr Mir explains everything you need to know and expect. He listens to your concerns to work with you for a good outcome.

I went to Dr. Mir for breast augmentation and I am extremely happy with my results! He worked with me to give me the natural looking implants I wanted. Recovery was much easier than anticipated and Dr. Mir and his staff were a pleasure to deal with and always made me feel comfortable and informed. I highly recommend him for this procedure!

Dr Mir treated me in the emergency room at Lennox Hill Hospital. This was the evening I realized walking through glass was not one of my super powers. I had seriously split my forehead open so that you could see my skull. I was so fortunate they called Dr Mir. He gave me around 20 stitches.  He was funny and confident.He made me feel comfortable in a very stressful situation. He did an amazing job putting the sutures right in my eyebrow. Everyone  is so impressed because you can’t see anything. ! When I went to get my stitches out in Ohio my regular doctor was also very impressed. He had used a base.ball stitch witch was easy to take out.  It’s been a week and you can t tell unless you look close I had an accident.

I met Dr. Mir in the ER at Huntington Hospital two yrs ago. I injured my toe & needed stitches. He did an excellent job, and had a great bedside manner. Two years later I returned to his office for an abdominoplasty, when I needed to have a myomectomy, I decided to do both at the same time. Dr. Mir did a great job! My OBGYN complimented his work and the clean, precise incision, among others who have seen my abs! I'm happy with his work and I would highly recommend him. His staff is a pleasure!

I saw Dr Mir because he was the ER doctor on call the day I hurt my face and I feel so very lucky that he was! I was a nervous wreck but he made getting stitched up almost-fun and the stitches looked amazing. At my follow up visit to take out the stitches he remembered everything we talked about the week before in the ER. I have the sense he actually genuinely cares about his patients and enjoys being a plastic surgeon. 

Daughter had a facial laceration that required plastic surgery. Dr. Mir performed the work skillfully albeit a bit short on bedside manner but was not unacceptable. The follow up was very quick, gave us adequate information but nothing to brag about it. My daughter's injury has since healed. It looks acceptable. From 10 feet away its fine. Up close it certainly could be better. Even that aside, the billing has been atrocious. Staff gave excuse after excuse, month after month. Its been 8 months since her procedure and nothing so far. Feels like a runaround frankly. So we're echoing a previous review that said they were also jerked around with the medical claim. Offices on Park Ave and in Manhasset. Big money areas. We're out 4k$. 

This is the first review I’ve left on a physician.  My 3 year old fell and cut her chin last October.  When Dr Mir was consulted for sutures, he was impatient with us and our doctor, and our (understandably) upset 3 year old.  He was upset with the staff at the hospital when her restraints failed, and didn’t want to wait for any type of sedation meds to help calm her down.  Now, a year later, we are still waiting for our reimbursement (only getting back 10% of what we paid him), even though I call the office at least twice a month.  So frustrating.  I’ll never recommend Dr Mir and his office.

I am sorry to report this but If you expect attentive follow -up care by your surgeon,  I highly suggest you do not go to Dr. Mir. This is the first negative physician review I have ever written. Dr Mir operated on my son for a pilonidal cyst in Dec 2019. He was left with quite a large/deep open wound which was to be expected. My son went weekly, then bi-monthly to have his wound assessed by Dr Mir for 4 months. He could not sit down for 4 months and was in awful pain. No driving, stood for 8 hours at work, stood for dinner, no cab rides, restaurants, no baths, no gym or running, constant blood drainage. After each  appointment my son begged the Dr for ANYTHING that would help speed up this awful wound that would often leave embarrassing discharge through his pants. Mir said "nope, this can go on for a year or longer, nothing you can do" My son suffered so, basically worked, stayed home and became depressed. He went form a social healthy 25 year old to an overweight depressed shell of
