Dr. Wladislaw Fedoriw, MD

After many years with this office, Dr does not see nor communicate with patients anymore unless your getting a procedure. I was told he won't even review my MRI which in my case is very complicated due to previous spinal surgeries with major complications. Dr being paid but refuses care, leaves to an assistant, yet another new one who knows nothing about my long care history. Besides that, office appointments are always close to an hour behind always. Next week will be my last appointment, time to find a Dr who actually cares 

Like a lot of folks, I've been in debilitating pain for too many years. After a failed back surgery and a second surgery to implant a spinal cord stimulater that was not working well, I had to find a pain management physician. I went to one doc for two years and actually saw him once followed by hour-long waits for 3-minute visits with his PAs.  Each month the PAs counted pills for 2 minutes then kept me on the same dosage of pain meds the entire time. 

Frustrated at no real treatment/relief and the high costs of services for minimal gain I tried Dr. Fedoriw. I've been seeing Doc Fedoriw now for several months and am amazed at the length to which he goes to understand his patients and actually treat them. His "bedside" manner is incredibly good. Amazingly, I've seen him personally on each visit and find his office staff and assistants most personable, and pleasant. This in itself was a huge charge. Without hesitation I recommend Dr. Fedoriw and AZ Back Pain Institute. 

I felt the doctor was very compassionate and took his time with my issue.  

I was pleased when Dr.Fedoriw was the first pain doctor that actually looked in detail at my MRI.

I found the office staff friendly and professional. I will continue to use this office as we work through the procedures needed.

I’ve been under Dr Fedoriw’s care at AZ Back Pain Institute for close to 3 years. I can’t say enough positive things about this doctor and his staff. Even when he’s busy, he sits down in the exam room, leans back and actually listens to you! These days so many doctors come in and out in 2-3 minutes and never take the time to listen and give insightful responses. Not Dr Fedoriw! He breaks the mold. He shoots straight, doesn’t sugar coat things, but at the same time he’s caring and compassionate. 
If you have back or neck issues, I’d highly recommend giving AZ Back Pain Institute a visit.

Extremely knowledgeable and caring doctor. He even pointed out things the hospital neurologist I saw didn’t notice (genetic abnormalities). He took the time to explain everything in a clear and easy to understand manner. His staff is also very friendly and professional.  I’ve suffered with back pain for 23 years - he is the first doctor to completely explain my situation, as well as give me hope of recovery. Highly recommend this doctor!!!!!

It took some time researching pain doctors, but I finally found a doctor who really cares about his patients. I went to several pain clinics with chronic lower lumbar back pain. Several doctors wanted to do the RFA, nerve burning, on my lumbar discs of my spine.  I went to Dr. Fedoriw for a 2nd opinion.  I was very pleased with his decision on how to treat my chronic pain. I was so happy to have a doctor sit down with me and go over my MRI's and CT's of my back.  He is very knowledgeable and patient.  He took his time and let me explain what had happened to me. I finally found a doctor who actually reads yours reports and reviews your imaging. He explains where your pain is coming from. I have not had any doctor do this for me. Most doctors can only read the reports, but not read the imaging. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I am grateful to have found a doctor who cares. I see now why he has been issued the Patient Awards!

Dr. Fedoriw is the best dr I've been to in AZ I wish he could be my family dr. Very Intelligent, spends the time with you and explains things, very friendly. His staff is good too. Everything you could want in a doctor.

Dr. Fedoriw is the best pain management doctor I've ever gone to see.  I've been seeing him for close to 10 years.  He is brilliant, ethical, and very talented.  And his procedures are done in the office.  He has a great sense of humor and a very funny bedside manner.   His  skills and ethics are just outstanding compared to other pain management docs I've been to before finding him.  He answers all questions asked without talking down to the patient.  I would never go to another doctor.

Dr. F is a fantastic doctor. He's compassionate and understanding but there is a problem with their chain of custody with regard to urine samples. I like another patient was kicked out for a urine. The staff has zero control of urine where they are left out for hours if not all day. Anyone could easily tamper with these. My experience has always been to sign for my sample then its placed in a clear bag and sealed. Chain of custody! I have never failed a urine in 9yrs till now.

This was one of a very few doctors and practices that I really liked. Most practices demand that you take the medication even if you feel you don't need to so when they do a urine analysis it's in there. Dr. F lets you make the decision whether you need to take something on a day to day basis. However the bad part and I'm not sure what happened. recently I was booted from the practice for a non compliant urine. First one in 22 years of having these tests both for pain management and employment.

Dr. Fedoriow is the most compassionate and educated Physician I have ever had the pleasure of working with.  After making an appointment for a second opinion with Dr. Fedorow, he immediately stopped having me from receiving any more steroidal injections as steroidal injections are a major cause of Avasular Necrosis, Avascular necrosis (AVN), also called osteonecrosis or bone infarction, is death of bone tissue due to interruption of the blood supply. Early on there may be no symptoms. Gradually 

Dr. Fedoriw is one of the best doctors I have.  Listens, is caring, and considers what you have to say.  Never once judged me based on my med list and recognizes my pain as legitimate.  Didn't push unnecessary procedures to which I was thankful for.  Highly recommended.

Dr. Fedoriw was patient, thorough and I did not feel rushed during my appointments. I appreciated that his focus what not "pushing pain pills" but to come up with a solution to my problem. His treatment has left me almost pain free for the last 8 years. 

I have been to several pain management facilities throughout the years since being in a severe auto accident in 1986. This doctor is a gentleman of class, professionalism, and dignity. I was treated with respect which goes a long way with me. I have a genuine medical condition which warrants the use of opioid therapy.  Dr. Fedoriw and his team of health care professionals treated me with dignity and respect from the time I arrived until the time I exited.  He LISTENS.  Doctor Fedoriw addressed my issues and talked to me in depth about my treatment plan.  He has allowed me to get back to being the best I can be by feeling as normal as possible. Living with chronic pain is no fun. Little things healthy folks take for granted like washing the dishes, taking out the trash, turning a door knob, putting on socks and shoes, vacuuming, leaning and bending over are overwhelming tasks sometimes for me.  I can't thank Doctor Fedoriw enough for helping me to do the things that make me feel like a productive human being and for treating me with dignity and respect. This is an awesome doctor with an awesome staff.  I would and will recommend this doctor to anyone suffering from chronic pain that prevents the "little things" in life from being achievable due to chronic pain every moment of everyday. This once caring physician has totally changed his practice over the last two years. From a wonderful kind caring doctor to an 'injection mill' only physician who is only in it for the money in her opinion. As of the last few years he has stopped seeing regular patients. He will only see you if you are getting outpatient surgery called a Vertiflex (a device that is inserted through a small incision in the back to hold two vertebrae apart) or getting an injection of some medication, mostly in the back or joint. I personally have a family member who was a patient of Dr. Fedoriw. She had a Vertiflex device inserted in her back and they billed her insurance $80,000. The device did her no good at all and actually caused her more discomfort 'Pain and Numbness ' then before the procedure. After having the procedure Dr. Fedoriw said to her 'There is nothing more I can do for you. If you need further care you will need to see a back surgeon.' He basically stops providing care except for shots.

I was with Fedoriw for many many years and one day he was done with me, no explanation no contact whatsoever, and the new person that took over for him cut my meds by 30% with no warning whatsoever. Now all of the new doctors are in total shock about the meds I was prescribed, and no one will even come close to prescribing me what I have been taking for over 7 years.

Very intelligent doctor, very knowledgeable, excellent in administering shots.  However, the one star is for the long wait.  The last two times I waited to be seen over two hours.  I have tried to make a follow up appointment and have left 3 messages and nothing.  I called a fourth time and was on hold for 20 minutes and nobody answer.  He is overbooked, so the care of his patients is going to deteriorate because of this.

Dr. Fedoriw is very intelligent and knows everything about my back pain. He is down to earth and makes you feel extremely comfortable.  His staff is also super friendly and makes you feel like family instead of just a number like mist other Doctors offices.  I have been going to Dr. Fedoriw for 9 years now and I'm so grateful I found him. If you have chronic pain like me, do yourself a favor and make an appointment with the best doctor out there!! 

I've been seeing Dr Fedoriw for a few years now and he has helped my pain tremendously. He has always made me feel comfortable. He's very caring and compassionate. Listens to you and your concerns. He doesn't rush you through like you're just a paycheck. I know if I have any issues after hours or the weekend his number is on his card so that you can contact him directly and leave a message so he can return your call. 
 Office staff Bernice & Mike are also awesome. I highly recommend Dr Fedoriw.
