Now that I'm fully recovered from a major abdominal surgery performed by Dr. Nelson, I can begin this review by reporting with certainty that the results are optimal, a complete success. He is a very skilled surgeon.

I was as confident of that as I could be even before surgery, based on my experience of him. He is an acutely attentive and patient listener and an excellent communicator. He explained everything thoroughly and gave me time to ask as many questions as necessary to completely understand my situation and every aspect of my procedure and the reasons for them. Plainly, he was committed to me not just as a patient but as a human being, to my psychological and emotional needs before and after surgery, as well as to my physical wellbeing.

In short, Dr. Nelson embodies all I could hope for in a surgeon: outstanding knowledge and technical skill, communications ability, and humanity.

He came to me highly regarded, and now I know why. He and his team very professional, efficient and take the necessary time to address questions and concerns.

He came across as friendly, interested in my questions and concerns, approachable.

Dr. Nelson was professional and treated us as individuals, not a number. He listened to us when we had questions about care and other issues.

Before my surgery Dr. Nelson explained the whole process and made me feel at ease, I was nervous to say the least. He and his surgery team was very supportive and helpful.

Dr Nelson was very communicative before and after surgery which was comforting and helpful. He was able to recommend 2 styles of surgery to fix my hernia.  One being open cut that is the old school way and then the robotic style. I chose the robotic style as this took less time for surgery, less painful and less healing time. I was very thankful for this!

He was very kind and informative. He took the time to explain everything about my upcoming surgery. He also took the time to explain another health issue I have.
