How is cardiac amyloidosis diagnosed?

Cardiac amyloidosis is caused primarily by the misfolding of proteins that aggregate to form amyloid deposits. The two main types are light-chain amyloidosis (AL) caused by immunoglobulin light chains produced by abnormal plasma cells, and transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR) caused by mutations in the transthyretin protein.
